Was curious, so went on the website for some more information. But I saw this "Noise levels are inaudible even with the most sensitive of IEMs", meanwhile noise level: 7uV. Wut?
Sorry if I'm being annoying.

Its an error, I need to correct it. It is inaudible with anything I (Westone 4R 118db/mW) or the testers have tried

Hi @March Audio

I don’t see the headphone output imedance on your website (maximum for 20Hz to 20kHz).

And what is the current output (RMS) into 8 ohms?

And can you please show a photo of the 12Vdc power adapter that it comes with, to show worldwide safety certifications?

Hi @Music1969

Amir measured the output Z at 0.8 ohms.

Current output maximum is 145mA.

I'm not in the office at the moment (won't be until Friday) so can't take a photo but the unit conforms to the following standards.

Standards Met: BS EN 60950-1, CE, EN 55022, FCC, RCM, SAA AS/NZS 60950-1, TUV-GS EN 60950-1, UL/cUL U 60950-1

Hope that helps

I thought he asked for RMS current?

Thanks for the info.

Have I missed Amir’s measurements?

Or is it just something he’s sent you privately?

And yes RMS current output would be appreciated if you could.

The maximum sink is -130mA-pk so 92mA RMS.

It was private of the prototype, but it's where the other measurements shown in the thread came from.

To clarify the max output current ls +— 145mA. Rms is 103mA.

Just curious what cans are you using with 8 ohms impedance?

Thanks! Any plans to send him production unit for official measurements for public sharing?

If so, when?

Are you sure the sinking is -145mA?

The very popular MrSpeakers AEONs which are ~12 ohms.

Asking about 8 ohms for margin/headroom
Looking at inner fidelity tests they are 14 ohms, but of course being MP it's mostly a resistive flat line. It's still low for a typical MP.

Really depends on how loud you want to go but due to their low impedance and spectacularly low sensitivity you will get to around 99dB with this amp.

Just for context the aeons need 31mW to hit 90dB whilst the old favourite Hd650 requires 0.13mW

There's obviously a lot going on in the world right now but is your HPA-1 impacted @March Audio ?

Do you have a timeline when Amir will be measuring production version of HPA-1?

Or is any kind of timeline off the table until things get better with the world situation?

My concentration at the moment is on the new speakers and dealing with the impact of the Covid problems. It's a logistics headache in terms of supply chain and takes up a lot of time.

Amir has already measured the prototype, the design remains the same so the measurements haven't changed.

Cheers

Alan

Ok , there's been a deal of ' when will this be measured by amir ' relating to @March Audio products.

The truth here is it's mutually damaging for both Alan and us for this to happen . This has been a hard road for both of us and I'm not inclined to detail it.

We are as a forum too close to @March Audio to provide objective analysis of his products. Amirm can deal with this but I can't and nor can the membership in general, it's not Alan's fault it's not our fault and it's definitely not amirm's fault.

It's just the way it is .
