Marantz MODEL M1 Wireless Streaming Amplifier

Let's wait for some photos of the insides first. It would not be the first time that Class D is called digital... That and the MMDF feature makes it a bit suspicious.

The case would fit a Hypex NC122MP OEM module just fine, and it would fit the specs perfectly. That's what I would put my money on.
You get only 75Wx2 at 8 ohms with a Hypex NC122MP, Marantz declares 100Wx2 at 8 ohms.

The Marantz YouTube video has a brief shot of the innards:

Hopefully it will not require Apple Airplay for Roon but sounds like that may be the case.
Marantz seems to be in process of switching all their devices to roon ready. Not long ago they pushed an update that made all my units pop up as uncertified roon ready.

I wonder if the sub integration includes a high pass filter for the mains? Otherwise it is just another useless brick.
.2 (at least, .4 better) sub outputs PLEASE!
I can figure out how to get my Technics SL-M3 TT into it, as well as my CD/Blu Ray audio into it, but I cannot make a single sub channel be stereo (or quad).

I have had a few marantz units. The stereo amps I have used didn't have a high pass at the higher price bracket but the lower priced units and avrs did. Being a "cheaper" app based device, I image it will.

Looks like this was answered earlier. My guess was right

Which post, please?

I have one of their receivers with dual sub outs and they're not separate channels. They're treated as a single mono channel in Audyssey. Useless.

AGREED! .1x2 defeats the purpose!
Although it MAY help you with room modes.

at least .2 (Stereo Bass)
Something that I have been running a long, long time with separate amps & separate custom built 12" subs cabs (with ports tuned to 29 Hz).
I can confirm the Nad m10 has stereo preout and dual independent sub outs. Pretty versatile little box.

Marantz M1 does NOT support Qobuz or Apple Music.
That's a product killer.
Until their streaming software supports both Qobuz and Apple Music this device is a LOSER compared to WIIM.

I’m a little surprised by so many negative initial impressions. Assuming it tests clean it checks a lot of boxes for its price. Of course it can be bettered for more money or less money by those not impressed by the cache of a Marantz brand logo. But looks to be a decent entry level product for those that want good sound but don’t want to overthink it. Personally, not my top pick but I bet it sounds pretty good.
