Manufacturing of a High-End (Moon Audio) CD Player

This is another in the TV series "how it is made." Alas they call it a digital to analog converter even though it is a CD player:

Not a whole lot noteworthy other than nice automated tests and such.

Would a CD player have any inputs at all if it does not record onto CD or something else?
