I have always liked a silver mirrored finish, my butler operates all the audio equipment but it doesn’t need that badge.

You call your remote control your butler?

That would be my valet.

How about a silver badge like this? We provide this extra silver badge which can replace the gold one.

Personally I would prefer a more understated logo, I would just have ‘Mamoritai’ embossed in a circle.

As a Japanese, I personally feel somewhat strange as well as not-suitable upon looking reading and pronouncing the Japanese word "MAMORITAI" as their brand name.

"Mamoritai" in Japanese is not a noun, but it is a verb "mamoru" (to protect, to keep, to maintain, to comply, to obey) plus suffix "tai" (or "shi-tai") which has meaning of strong intention/willingness/desire of "want to do something" meant by the preceding verb.

If we Japanese say "Watashiha wa anata wo mamori-tai.", it means "I would like to (or I shall) protect you."

If we Japanese say "Watashi wa kono kakaku wo mamori-tai.", it means "I shall keep (or shall maintain) this price."

If we Japanese say "Watashi wa kono koutsu-kisoku wo mamori-tai.", it means "I would like to observe (or to obey) this traffic rule."

In any way, using "MAMORITAI" as brand name sounds very strange (even very odd, funny and/or ridiculous) to my ears and brain.:D

I would like to see it's performance at 2V input though,as the RCA inputs will probably work this way at 99% of the time.
Given the gain we might see very different results.

I am totally sure that with high impedance headphones this amp will sound amazing. However, I’m in with the majority of people here it seems: I’m not fond of the name, badge/logo, and excessive bling, but I think we are a more spartan-minded group in general. I’m betting the jacks and volume pot are very well made and the case looks heavy and solid. That end of things I really appreciate and it’s why I’ve kept my old Beyerdynamic A1 for well over a decade and use it regularly. I was never a huge fan of it sonically until I figured out that it only works well with rather flat and high impedance curves. I had written it off and put it away for years. Barely ever used it and it didn’t come cheap. Under those constraints, it’s great and this amp should be similar but with even more power. I also love having a built in power supply that doesn’t cause problems for my outlets, space, and I don’t like keeping track of wall warts. My JDSLabs Atom is a better headphone amp for a variety of headphones and situations, but the construction makes it more cantankerous to use, I run a small extension cord to the wall wort, and I lost the wall wort for several weeks during a move and nearly ordered a new one. All the while my Beyerdynamic was there for me: sturdy and reliable as ever with a well-damped volume pot that feels satisfying in use.

If the case/logo were more understated but remain heavy/substantial and high quality (no need to get ugly like my old A1), the output impedance reduced to near zero, and the gain levels adjustable, you’d have a knockout in my book. Have a look at the Beyerdynamic A2. It may have been perfect, but I’ve never seen one in the wild let alone used it.

Most interesting @dualazmak. From their website:

This is what I got off the all-knowing world wide web.

"This phrase implies you want to have quality time with the person of your interest. It's more of a general term, but it does make your person of interest realize that you may be want to be more than just friends."

Yes I would wonder what the perceived benefit for Fosi would be. I would be shocked if aside from a fairly small group of companies that any really make consistent, decent ongoing profits and cash flow making such products.

I do understand that if the field of affordable audio products is getting crowded, it is probably hard to stand out.

There are headphone amplifiers that are really good for less money. I wish companies would not release products that do not meet or exceed existing levels of performance. What's the point? Less performance but you get a chrome finish?

Voted not terrible.
I kinda like the look of it.
It will sound identical to every other transparent headphone amp out there providing you don’t impedance mismatch…which is one of it’s problems.
Another one is the low power; if you’re driving planars like DCAs og Hifimen and want to play around with EQ, you fairly quickly run out of steam.
I’m not a fan of headphone amps that hide away the gain settings either. While this certainly isn’t the most powerful thing on the market, I still suspect you’ll run into volume control difficulties if you plug in an easy to drive can such as the Aune AR5000 or the Beyerdynamic T1 3rd Gen.

This amp’s biggest problem however is it’s competition. I can think of a dozen much cheaper offerings that are way more powerful, have proper gain settings as well as being able to drive iems.
Then again I suspect this amp is more for folks over at Head-Fi where it’s shiny silvery surfaces will translate into something ‘highly detailed’ or perhaps ‘leaning a little bright’. People hear what they see over there.
