Making further progress, TOPPING’s new flagship amplifier will be launched in late May!

Interesting product. I guess it answers the "we need more power cap'n" question a bit. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't answer the 2-ohm load question. Which makes it a non-starter for me.

As I recently wrote here on the thread "Ask me questions." started by @JohnYang1997 from TOPPING, in HiFi audio scene, I believe not only the initial (at first-glance) measured (and heard) performances but also durability/robustness, parts selections, repair parts availability, maintenance/repair/overhaul service availability, warranty, support system/network, etc., all for "long-year" time span, are really critical (more important?) for our choice(s) of amplifier(s).

Sorry, but I do not know whether their new flagship[??] amplifier discussed on this thread can be categorized in HiFi audio gear, or not.

My pair of B200s arrived this afternoon. I'll get them unpacked this evening and conduct some smoke testing. Not expecting any issues. The box they arrived in (via DHL) is larger than I expected. It seems they were packed very well.

Mine have shipped..arriving tomorrow...1-2 days from China, how they do that? It takes fedex 2 weeks from Ohio to California :)

So Av =3.8(11.6dB) or 12.6(22dB). Somewhere in the middle might be nice say 7 or 8. Wonder if Topping will allow internal adjustment?

They would probably tell you to put a Topping Pre90 in front of it. ;-)

BTW, what is "Av" ?

Just pulled them out of the boxes and put them into my office system. That system is normally comprised of a Topping E50 / L50/ PA5 stack, alternately driving passive monitors and Sennheiser HD600 headphones. I normally manage attenuation via the knobs on the L50 headphone amp and PA5 speaker amp. However, since the B200 has not volume control, I had to remember to switch the E50 DAC to preamp mode. Glad I thought of it as, otherwise, I'd probably be picking cone material from my monitors out of my teeth!

I won't attempt to form any listening opinions in this system. Mainly, I wanted to make sure that the amps and power supplies were in working order before the 45-day return window with Apos. So far, so good.
