For less than half the price you can get professional amplifiers like the Sinbosen DSP22000Q or D4-3500DSP that have twice the channel count, 14-17x the output power per channel (obviously not continuously sustained >1sec as the AC power input will be the final limit), orders of magnitude higher power DSP with FIR/APF/etc, Dante network audio input, aes inputs, etc…. With a likely similar if not much better SINAD performance (fine for PA use/subwoofers etc).

There’s no reason to ever consider something like this.

In commercial AV we control devices via network more often than RS232 etc. these days tbh

Isn't the poor frequency response most worisome about this amp?
Thia amp should really sound differently with poor bass, roght?

Can't fathom how hard it must be to keep producing products there.
I orded a pair of Verum 2 headphones, it's already on the way, apparently it is the last bunch already and he seems to be able to deliver all. There for sure was considerable delay, but this is usual for kickstarter in general. I know the creater has achieved some bad reputation through aggressive and apparently also racist behaviour, but I still felt that it is a good thing to give a little support.

There is an audio product niche that is aimed at the buyer who only looks at claimed watts per channel. Ive met several of these folks and they all were excited to repeat the claimed wattage number and how little they paid for the amp. Being polite required me to say i was glad to see they were happy with their purchase. To each his own i guess.

Dang i really high high expectations for the brand but all the measurements for their product so far have been kinda poor... I hope products from Alcons or Ascendo don't perform like this....

It's one of several problems. Very high noise + distortion is another.

One generally expects professional amplifiers to deliver their rated output, as well - the fact that this is delivering only 1/4 of its rated output is also a real problem.

Basically everything about this is bad. For the first time I can remember we've got 96.8% voting "terrible" and 3.2% voting "not terrible" and not a single vote (even a troll vote) for fine or great.

Channeling Marvin the robot with that terrible pain in all the diodes down his left side: What a depressingly poor machine!

Do we know what class D chipset or platform (e.g. Pascal) was used?

Yamaha P3500S and Yamaha P5000S are a good option, if the owner can find them.

This is just garbage overall.... I would imagine there would be some kind of limiter that is preventing it from producing any real wattage... because it is quite disappointing otherwise.

the limiter is maybe malfunctioning .. because it does not limit the noise :D LOL
