MA1 Crashes when I begin the setup process

Any Ideas?

I have the KH750 connected to a unmanaged switch that my PC is connected to.

I have full permissions etc...

Video linked below of what happens

Raise a support ticket somewhere here:

If the speaker's ethernet is 10/100, you may need a crossover lead to go direct to your PC, or else go via a switch port that has Auto MDI-X.

I've created a ticket with support

Just thought I would ask here too.

I have now connected the sub to the switch

same crash

I have uninstalled and reinstalled MA1

same crash

I'll be interested to see what the reply from Neumann is. I had the same problem about a year ago after installing the latest version of the software. I contacted Neumann via Sennheiser, but didn't get a reply. I ended up running the correction via an older version of the software I'd previously installed.

I'm afraid they're no longer available to download. Fortunately, I hadn't uninstalled earlier versions.

You probably need a switch. Your KH speakers, 750 and laptop need to be on the same network. Make sure that all Neumann speakers have been switched to network mode in the back. Also check the levels on whatever device is supplying your 48V input. If it's set to high the software may shut down.

If you already have a switch, make sure that all network cables are at least 5e and above. Also consider an unmanaged switch. My last recommendation would be to check your laptop network drivers, especially if the switch picks up the speakers, but not the laptop.

I’ve edited the OP and now changed my config to an unmanaged switch.

Yeah cables are all cat 6

So I have my PC connected to the switch

kH750 connected to the switch

The switch is connected to my router.

MA1 finds the network connection in setup then just crashes to desktop.

So are you only trying to manage the 750 base settings? Are you trying to run the tuning process? If the software is crashing that may just be a windows install issue. Are you using the latest 25H2? What 48V interface are you using to route the audio? If you are using the motherboard audio interface that also may be your issue.

I’m trying both…

Yes running 25H2

Using a Digiface and Audient ASP880 over ADAT.

Fully ASIO driver compatible….my system meets all of MA1 needs and wants…

Clear windows event log.
Reboot.
Try the installer.
Recheck the event logs.
Let us know if there are any interesting errors in Application & System logs.

Got a reply from Neumann today…they have asked me for certain logs from the MA1 software…seems they are keen to develop this software which is a good thing. I sent them what they needed and they responded within an hour…just asked for patience while the engineer looked into a possible solution…I’ll wait until they respond before try the MA1 again…

Support very good up to now…impressed with response time.
