Hello everyone
Does anyone on here use the Lyngdorf 1120 aa part of a Home cinema set up?
If you do could you please explain how you have it setup?
Would really appreciate advice on this.

Not an 1120, but a Lyngdorf TDAi 3400 for me. However, the connections and set up are virtually the same.

I have the FL & FR outputs from my AVR connected to the L & R analog inputs of the Lyngdorf. My sub is connected to the Lyngdorf. On my AVR, I set FL & FR to "Large" and Sub to "None". On the Lyngdorf, I set the input from my AVR to "Theater Bypass" and this results in the AVR controlling the volume. Finally, I have a trigger cable connected between the AVR and the Lyngdorf so that when I switch on the AVR, the Lyngdorf is switched on too.

Even though my AVR has Dirac capability, I don't use it as I greatly prefer what RoomPerfect achieves in my room. Instead, I cross over my other speakers at 80 Hz so that RP also helps with the bass on those. Note that I only run a 5.1 system.

Hope this helps.

Note that the analog input that you would use on the 1120 is Analog 2, not Analog 1 as I have. This is due to the 1120 having a Turntable compatible input on Analog 1, which my 3400 does not have. Other than that, it should be the same.

I am using analogue input 2
Now going to try find out how to edit analogue input 2 from lyngdorf app

Connect the Left Output of your 1120 via RCA to your LFE input on your sub. Make sure your sub is set to Filter Bypass or if not available, to the highest crossover you can have. Set your sub volume control to around half way on its dial. Do you know how to set up your 1120 from crossovers?

Not exactly sure what you mean but on my Yamaha 3080 Avr I have set a crossover of 80hz for all speakers and I have set the front speakers to large
all other speakers to small
Not sure about setting crossovers on 1120

This is how I have my Output page set up in my 3400. Note that I use a BW2 crossover, but Lyngdorf generally recommend LR4 to begin with. It's just that BW2 works better in my room.

BTW, what front speakers do you have? I use a 80 Hz crossover, but depending on the size and capability of your speakers, it may not be the best setting for you.

Nice speakers! :)

I'd say start with a 80 Hz crossover using LR4. It might be that you can reduce the crossover later as your speakers are going to be capable of going lower, but 80 Hz is a good start point in my experience.

Happy to help. Just reach out via this thread or via PM if anything further. Also there is a UK based forums called AV Forums that has a dedicated thread on the 1120 with many experienced users contributing. There are also separate Lyngdorf threads for all things Lyngdorf. Lots of good folks always happy to help fellow users.

Very nice setup I currently have an svs sb 12 nsd sub but could easily get an M & k sub from my dealer, according to my dealer the X 10 sub is one of the best subs, a bit pricey for me now but could easily afford the V12, I wonder if it would be much of an upgrade over my current one.
Next thing for me to get is a blue ray udp player currently been using apple tv 4k, do you stream audio? and if you do which service?
