As proof of the concept, I decided to make a clone of the LXmini speaker.
The results are excellent both audible and measurable.
The drivers I used are Mivoc swm 68 and TC9FD18-08 which in my opinion is a far better driver than Seas FU10RB (H1600-04).
I ordered the Seas L16RN-SL (H1480) waiting to arrive to make the final version.
If someone is an expert in designing parts for a 3D printer, they might be able to contribute to the design by designing the upper part that comes on the tube.
Off axis measurements are 0-22-45.
The microphone I use is Umik-1. It has a horrible feature to bring down the response over 18khz so I don't know the real situation above.
Crossover is terrible minidsp 2x4.

Nice job! Did you refer to this article when you're building this clone? I ask because you use the same Peerless full range driver for the top end.

Nop. I chose it because of its good frequency measurement, THD and cumulative spectral-decay. And sounds very very good.

Interesting build. Depending on local availability the Visaton FRS8 is another low cost option. I'm interested in how the wider dispersion of the TEBM46C20N-4B might change things too.

Am I right in thinking you'd like to 3d print the mount to hold the magnet of the TC9FD inside the top tube? If so do you have the dimensions? The mechanical drawing on the datasheet I have is horribly pixelated so the dimensions are illegible.

Latest uptodate.

Uptodate lol. Spotted the doctor.

Great build. Did you factor in dispersion pattern for your choice of drivers vs. the original? I'm not sure how matching different choices of driver would contribute towards the desired directivity.

looks great measurement! all but the bass response looks almost perfect. Maybe a larger woofer would help? anyway this looks like an interesting speaker from this clone, just thinking when dropping off start at 200 hz the bass would really be anemic, this is Fostex PM 0.3 class

The bass doesn't really fall off like that. That's just a gating issue with his measurement.

Choice of drivers was motivated by their measurement performances. For now I don't see any problem, neither in the measurements, nor in the listening tests.
I will publish more measurements in next days, along with DSP parameters.

Note that the measurements seen in the first post with the different bass driver.
Also keep in mind the measurement technique, what you see is not smooth measurement but gated, hence the drop towards low frequencies.

It was very difficult to find EQ. parameters on web for LXmini.
I think i am very close with crosover and EQ, apart eq on FR. because TC9 is better behaved in high frequency that Seas FU10RB.

I used Same tweeter but bigger woofer - 50 yr old German from a box with blown tweets, and Xkits preamp active analogue crossover. With
yamaha 5ch amp. For separate bi—amping. From yamaha preamp.
will measure ASAP with umik- and add passive filters as required.
How long should the 3” open pipe be? This is 11”. Others look shorter. Suggestions?

http://www.linkwitzlab.com/LXmini/Design.htm explains the reasoning for the 3" pipe and its stuffing. Shorter would be more true to the original, but you'd have to take measurements to see if the longer one has any adverse effects.
Thanks. Sounds pretty amazing.
Finally received my xkitz crossover @700hz. And using yamaha preamp into a 5.1 Yamaha amp for Bi-amping.
$10 tweets and some 7” bass drivers I had kicking around from Germany- east I think. LOL

You need DSP and measuring equipment. Without it, you don't know what you're up to and you can get the wrong impression.
