Good morning,
A little review of the new " Hearing compensation" function:
- first you have to remember to put on OFF before the test everything in "Effect », « Crossfeed » & « HP EQ », juste keep « Hearing compensation » ON
- once the "Hear Comp" procedure is launched, found at the end of scrolling "effects" only on the X9, once the test is launched and if I stay a few seconds on the first explanatory page and wait to hear the frequency before pressing "hear", most of the time the screen changes to arrive on the last "vu-meter" used of the X9, after I can see on this volume the frequency increase, but I can no longer do a validation action or other and I have to get out of this " Hear Comp" and start again at the beginning (bug to be corrected so).
To avoid this bug, once the "hear Comp" procedure is started, as soon as I see the 1st screen I validate the "Heart" button on the right then on the 2nd screen I can quietly choose the dB threshold where I hear very very slightly the frequency and validate.
In this way I can do the test of the left ear, then right and lead to the final page that must be quickly validated (do not do the rename that can be done later, otherwise the vumeter comes back and you have to redo everything).
If we quickly validated the test on the last page showing the compensation curves proposed for the 2 ears, at that time the "Heart Comp" was memorized, we can only for the moment on the X9 put it on ON/OFF
To have both the " Hearing compensation" function and the other options of the X9:
- I'm coming out of "bypass Off"
- for my part I put the "stereo Width" back on (modifiable percentage and mute available on the remote control now, it's really happiness)
- I put the "HP EQ ON", at this time I have my personal hearing corrected upstream with the headphones used to memorize the "hear Comp", and I can either listen to a memorized EQ just "flat", or finally put one of the EQs found and memorized via the listing proposed by Luxsin, in this case, having done this morning the "hear Comp" on my Hifiman Arya Organic (all my previous personal EQs memorized are no longer good, too clear and aggressive, so logical with my "hear Comp" now validated before The EQ of the X9), but those proposed by the Luxsin X9, in particular the "Hifiman Arya Organic Oratory 93" are now very consistent, and we will finally be able to calmly test all the EQs offered in the Luxsin helmet listing.
——
For a future update, I would of course like to be able to put on or OFF the Hearing compensation via the application by means of a key on the remote control by programming it in the "general" page of the X9, then "key setting", "remote control"
Whether the bug during the test is corrected, or whether the first page on the two pages proposed for each frequency is removed, it is certainly informative, but repetitive with the second
Of course I would like more frequency band for this "Hearing compensation", especially from 2khz up to 6khz, area where most hearing loss are net as we get older in particular
I would like to have access to the corrected frequency table seen only during the validation of the " Hearing test", to be able to compare the corrections according to the headphones used with an « Hearing compensation ».
A thousand times thank you for this obvious and necessary function, absolutely everyone needs a " Hearing compensation", regardless of the age and health of our hearing, very few people have a perfect ear, and the abusive use for the latest generations of headphones and loudness War among other things on the music listened to will not improve this growing problem of hearing deterioration of humans.
