Hi, three questions (maybe suggestions):

The x9 (and the x8) have two usb ports labeled “audio in” can this actually be hooked up to two separate PCs and swapped between them in the source input? If you can, I just want to thank you for this. Nobody is doing this and it’s great for home office.

Can you change the name of sources on the UI? So instead of saying “optical” I can set it to say “CD” or something else. If not, consider this a suggestion that can most likely be updated.

Is the x9 coming in the black and gold color?

Both the X9 and X8 support connecting two different source devices (such as computers) via USB-C and USB-B. Users can switch between these two inputs, but only the interface selected under “Source In” will be active. The two USB inputs cannot operate simultaneously.

UI name cannot be changed

No plan for black or golden color X9

Bonjour,

Merci encore

The Threshold setting allows users to define the volume level at which the Loudness function becomes active.

For example, if the Threshold is set to -20 dB, the Loudness function will only engage when the volume is below -20 dB. When the volume is higher than this level, the Loudness function will not be applied.

The Bass and Treble controls allow users to fine-tune the sound character while Loudness is enabled, providing additional flexibility to adjust the listening experience to personal preference.
Thanks again for the explanation. One final question. Are the loudness contours applied as either on or off depending on the volume, or does the degree of loudness depend on how much lower the volume is than the threshold? For example, if I set the threshold to something like -30dB with Bass set to +10, does -31dB immediately go to +10 on the bass? Or does it happen gradually/progressively over some limit?

Safari is supported for Web UI access. In fact, any browser can be used because the Web UI operates over the standard HTTP/HTTPS protocol. Not quite sure about your X9 V2 question, assuming you are talking about the next firmware of X9, we are planning to release a new beta firmware to add in new function next week. As for the iOS app, it is currently working as expected. If you encounter any issues while using it, please feel free to let us know.

For the Luxsin UI, we are planning to redesign the entire UI for user experience enhancement, but it will take some time.

PS, we are not the right one to recommend Blu-ray device to you,

After a certain threshold is reached, it changes gradually.

We know many users enjoy having the spectrum analyzer displayed on the X9 while listening to music. At the same time, we understand that everyone has different preferences when it comes to its design and colors.

To better meet these preferences, the next firmware update will introduce a color-customizable spectrum analyzer, allowing users to choose their preferred colors and create a unique style that suits their taste.

The firmware is expected to be released next week, and this feature will be exclusive to the X9 for now.

A short video to preview this feature:

Hello recently acquired a X9 and loving it just wondering if it decode a Dolby signal? or is it just PCM.

Bonjour,

Merci d’avance

Good morning,

To relaunch my previous question about the Arc/E-Arc hdmi input of the X9, at home my screens next to the X9 are my MacBook 16' wired in thunderbolt 5 on a 27' screen, the first has a "5K Mac" resolution and the other is 4K in 120hz

I would like to use an ultra HD blu-ray player to watch movies on my 4K screen and retrieve from this same blu-ray player its "hdmi sound" output to cable it on the X9, sound output that is never Arc or E-Arc

If I understand correctly, to have an Arc or E Arc sound signal, the complete signal output from the Blu-ray player must be connected to the TV that provides it with an Arc or E Arc hdmi sound output in decoding

This X9 player is also designed to be installed in an office or a room that does not necessarily have a television to retrieve an Arc hdmi signal for example, how can I use the Hdmi input of the X9 (a transcoder box "hdmi sound" in "hdmi Arc" exists?)

At the moment I have the solution to use the coaxial output often present on Blu-ray players, but my coaxial input on the x9 is already used by a CD player...

Thanks in advance

Angel

I dont have a TV in the room with the X9 , so I’m searching another way to use the HDMI in of the X9 who is only Arc/E Arc

Only PCM.

Thankyou mate for your reply! i currently have the x9 connected to the eARC input of the c2 when i open my windows audio settings i see this does it mean its some sort of 2.0 downmix?

Unfortunately, I am not sure--your best bet is to check with whoever makes your TV. For me, I use an Apple TV 4K as the streaming source, and that device as well as my TV both allow me to specifically choose Bitstream or PCM.

Thankyou again yer it automatically prompted me to enable passthrough when i connected it i wonder if its some sort of stereo upmix.

I can confirm this unit can drive the DCA Stealth no problem on single ended output. I know Amir used the RME-2 DAC in his review of the Stealth and mentioned it could drive the DCA Stealth also, but I can confirm the X9 is better as far as power over the ADI when using it as a DAC/AMP.

Love the new EQ display that comes with the latest firmware, 2.0.0.3.
Only thing I could not find out is the user profile you can save in the unit?

Navigate to "about" -> "Backup", then you can backup your setting here

Question about Channel cross talk :
It seems that on the review by GoldenSound, / Headphone Show - measured Channel Cros-talk., and it came out as frequency dependent with up to -90db:
What I am not sure if they refer to headset mode or is that the expected characteristic on the main outputs (no clear reference to RCA / XLR )

Time stamp = 10:58 if you want just to skip.

Any idea?

Thanks
I'd never trust anything that guy writes, he has repeatedly demonstrated he is utterly incompetent.

Good morning,

I would like to connect my turntable to the analog input of the X9

My turntable has an RCA output without phono preamplification and one with preamplification, which do you advise me to connect to the X9

Would there be a change in quality if I wired the RCA output without preamplification to a very good quality phono preamplifier that would be connected the to the analog inputs of the X9

Thanks in advance

Angel

On my X9, I will try soon on his Usb-C input the new DAP A&K DP20 which brings several innovative features that I am looking for:

- a full hearing test (with headphones provided for this test) to make a precise correction of the 2 ears (separately) and thus correct the hearing loss of each

- a quality streamer (and native music memorized on its 256GB expandable to 2TB by SD)

- a more modular crossfeed than on the X9 (for the moment)

- a double A & AB amplification and a hybrid between the 2 (physical button can be activated in "live")

- a physical wheel that also allows advanced equalization in "live" without sound cuts.

The digital outgoing signal of the PD20 and wired on the X9 will then be able to take advantage of the eq memorized on the X9, and all its options that I appreciate.
