Options 3 and 4Time to select new spectrum analyzers. Please pick two from the four options. In fact, the only difference between 1 & 3 and 2 & 4 is the color gradient.
I personally prefer 3 and 4.

This morning, I saw the option to update the firmware. I tried updating it over the air, but for half a day I couldn't do it. When I pressed the "update" button, the update started for a second, and then the device would return to the update screen and freeze. The only way to get it out of this state was to turn off the power. Nothing helped—not connecting to a different Wi-Fi network, not even a factory reset. But after two hours of this ordeal, the device suddenly started downloading the firmware and updated. However, after the update, I discovered a problem: managing the device via the internet browser stopped working. The page opens, but there's no connection to the device, and no settings can be configured. This happens with all browsers and all operating systems. Rolling back to firmware 16 didn't solve the problem—management via the browser no longer works. However, managing via the Android app works fine. I updated to firmware 18 again and tried everything I could, but I still couldn't restore browser management. What's going on with the device? I spent half a day experimenting and trying to get the browser controls working again, but now they're no longer working.Beta Firmware 1.0.0.18 for Luxsin X9 is now available for testing

Now about the other features of the new firmware – the new indicators are wonderful, a pleasure to use.
1. The clicks and spikes in volume that I reported earlier are gone. I tested them at different preset settings. Now it really does feel like an R2R control, not a worn-out potentiometer from 1952.
2. Unfortunately, I didn't see the option in the new firmware to feed the speakers a full signal without cutting off the low frequencies when connecting a subwoofer, which is what I asked you about earlier.
3. I tried enabling the loudness function, but I don't understand how I configured it – I don't hear any change in the sound and don't know if it works or not.
4. In the speaker and subwoofer delay settings, numerical settings are not saved; only those adjusted using the sliders on the screen are saved.
5. Another small suggestion: on the screen with the vertical input signal level meter, the left and right channel indicator bars should be changed so that they look different from the spectrum analyzer bars. Perhaps they should be slightly wider, or wider and with thinner segment stripes, since they currently blend into the spectrum analyzer and seem to belong to it rather than the level meter.
6. I think the maximum level hold time on the input signal level meters could be slightly reduced.
7. The peak values on the two new indicator screens should be the same color as the current readings, not white, and accordingly, when there is no signal, the screen should also show green lines instead of white. Please do this!
I just checked, and my browsers are indeed persistently trying to insert the "S" character into HTTP. I managed to solve this problem and everything is working again. The only thing that remains is a mystery: how it all worked before and then stopped working yesterday. Thanks for the tip!As for the web UI issue you mentioned, please check the address in your browser and make sure it is ‘http’, not ‘https’.
For full signal to speakers when enable subwoofer, will be added into future firmware.
For the numerical setting not saved in subwoofer delay setting, are you referring to the operation in control APP? or on the device?
for the suggestions on new spectrum analyzer, I will have my software guy to update it and check how it works (wider bar for volume indicator, maximum level hold time reduce from 1.5s to 1.2s, same color for peak value)
edit : we found the issue of numerical setting not saved in subwoofer delay setting, will fix it shortly.
Browser control isn't working again. It stubbornly switches HTTP to HTTPS, and I can't open the control page any other way! What's going on? I've already wasted two days trying to reconnect to the device. This has been happening since yesterday, and I've never had this problem before in all my time using the device!
Chrome browser, Windows 11 OS.
+1 for the name. Really silly, but then, all too common among Chinese makers...Thanks for the review, @amirm !
Great performer, for sure. But both product's name and industrial design are a miss in my book.
That would be a good feature, so +1 from me!Hey All
Have been pouring through these pages and have gotten a little lost in all the comments.
If it's not too much trouble and to save me rereading everything can someone please confirm if we are able to apply a high pass filter to 1 output (XLR) and leave the other output as full range or set to low pass on RCA as 1 example.
I would love to be able to high pass my primary speakers source point 8's at around 120Hz and send the remaining full range signal to RCA's for subs.
I'm currently on the hunt and have been looking at the topping D90 discrete that also has DSP but is missing this function.
Topping has advised they will look into implementing it.
Any assistance or feedback on the luxin unit would be greatly.

Hi Rob,Dear Luxsin,
I have now for several weeks my X9 and have connected it, using the analog input (RCA) of the X9, with my CD-player (Sony cdp-337esd). This al works fine. But then I tried the coaxial connection which also seemed to work fine. But something strange happened while I was enjoying listing to my CD's sitting about 1,5 meters from the X9 using my Austrian Audio composer headphones. When I got up from my chair, while still wearing the headphones, to swap the CD it lost the coaxial connection and the music stopped playing for a few seconds. I can reproduce this also when using the coaxial and USB-C using an Eversolo T-8 as a source. I also see when losing the audio/digital connection that the X9 jumps from 44.K1 or 96K to 768K and then when the audio comes back it falls back the sampling rate of the song. When I use the optical IO's everything is fine and I have no issues Then I tried disconnecting the earth lead of the X9 (floating earth/ground) and connected the T-8 using the coaxial/USB-C input and the problem is back. So at this moment I can only use my digital sources (Sony CD-player and the T-8) without any issue only when I use the optical input of the X9. I also have updated the unit to the current firmware version 1.0.0.19 and I have also cleared all settings, but all without any result. Do you have any idea/suggestions for me to try??
Many Thanks Rob
