The existing APF ability on the main outputs is fantastic for sub integration as well, and in many cases could negate the need for a main output delay feature.
On my wish list for a future update would be adjustable delay on the sub outputs.
This might be the hub for my bedroom system. This thing plus two of the Toppping B200 amps w/ my Elac DBR62 and two of the Polk PSW 111 subs could be a super sweet 2.2 system.
The latest firmware for X9 adds separate adjustable delays on the main output and on the subwoofer output. I am, in fact, now utilizing one of these preamps in my true stereo 2.2 setup with an 8.15ms delay to the mains allowing me to fully integrate two symmetrically placed subwoofers with the speakers. The crossover setting in subwoofer effects controls the high- and low-pass filters simultaneously. The volume control is analog (at least for the mains--I can't tell if the subwoofer outputs' volume are controlled analog or digitally in lock-step to the main outputs, but they are in perfect sync regardless). For anyone looking for true stereo subwoofer integration with an analog volume control, this is really a killer product with no equal in this price range once you take the analog volume control aspect into consideration.
 
Wow! This seems like the thing that I have been waiting for. Does the PEQ apply to analog inputs also ? I use CD player, local digital files, and tape decks as my sources and Sennheiser HD660 as my output. 660 requires heavy correction in the LF..

The analog input passes through an ADC and all DSP effects (including PEQ) work on analog sources (assuming the Bypass function is not turned on).
 
Currently, I use RME ADI-2 Pro FS R as a preamp and I have been looking for another headphone amp, my option is either a RME ADI-2 2x4 Pro FS or this unit. One benefit of RME is is that it also offers record player preamp.

Do you know if bypass mode fully disables all internal DSP, PEQ, crossovers, and filters for both digital inputs (e.g., USB) and the subwoofer outputs? Allowing completely unprocessed 2.1 signals for separate Dirac Live Bass Control (DLBC) correction filters to be sent from a PC to the mains and subwoofer independently?

This cannot be done regardless of bypass. The Luxsin X9 is treated at a 2-channel device, so DLBC will not recognize and send .1 signal data to the X9 via USB. It will only see Luxsin X9 as stereo (2.0) output.
 
So does this have HIGH PASS for mains or not? It doesn't say anywhere on website or YouTube reviews. That is like my biggest tipping point to consider this or not. I am aware of low pass which is good. And I saw a post earlier you can high pass with the HP-EQ but can I not high pass the mains separately from the headphone out?

There is a Low pass filter applied to certain frequency when user enable subwoofer out, also a high pass filter applied to the mains at the same time. this kind of setting is more on using X9 as a pre-AMP with XLR/RCA output. For headphone out, when you are in bypass mode, there is no any effects/filters applied. while user enable HP-EQ function, there are 8 filters can be selected to adjust the 10 bands EQ. Hope this answer your question.
BTW, X9 automatically save all these settings for each output channel, no need to adjust them again when switch from one output port to another.

You are right about the spec of AK7739. However, only analog input need to go through AD process on 7739, all digital signals are routed to AK4191, which offer significantly better performance compared to the 7739. And all filters are handled in digital.

I just received and tested it compared to my Topping D90 3 DAC and Gustard H26 Headphone Amp combo. As long as you are using either USB or HDMI inputs on the Luxsin both the headphone output quality and preamplifier output are superb. When using Coaxial and Toslink make sure to disable all extra internal DSP processing. This Headphone AMP section is better than the Gustard H26 and works flawlessly with the included DAC chips and Clock. As a standalone DAC the Topping D90 3 is better. However, in combination with an AMP the LUXSIN performs better. This unit seems to have been optimized to perform best when using the DAC AMP combo.

Huh really? So when I adjust low pass it AUTOMATICALLY adjusts high pass to mains or is it still separate and need to utilize the other equalizers to high pass? If it's automatic that's amazing but I see no where on website or videos of it doing it automatically.

It’s automatic. I use it, I don’t touch the EQ features, only subwoofer.

It is AUTOMATICALLY adjusts high pass to mains when user adjust the low pass to subwoofer.
