I am moving my original Loxjie D40 (not the D40 Pro) from my video sound system to my main audio system. I had been using it as a preamp, controling the volume to my powered speakers by rotating the volume knob on the D40. Now I want to use it just as a DAC and control the volume with my Emotiva preamp, but I haven't been able to figure out how to do so. I couldn't find instructions in the D40 manual. A web search yielded the following AI summary:

"Loxjie D40 Preamp Variable Mode

To change the preamp variable mode on the Loxjie D40, follow these steps:
  1. Press the volume knob to access the menu.
  2. Use the function button to navigate to the “Preamp Mode” or “Variable Mode” option.
  3. Press the function button to select the desired mode.
Note: The exact steps may vary depending on the firmware version and settings of your Loxjie D40. If you are unsure, refer to the user manual or contact the manufacturer for assistance." Unfortunately, I don't see any such menu option on the hardware. When I press and turn the volume knob, there is no option to navigate out of the "Preamp Mode" or "Variable Mode" to a fixed volume mode.

I suppose that simply turning the volume knob up to the max would acomplish this, but I'm surprised that there isn't a menu setting. (Note: I did upgrade this unit with the last firmware update.)
