Looking for advice about purchasing 4 Dolby atmos inceiling speakers. Which model would you recommend for a low profile installation.... And why?

DALI Phantom K-60 LP https://www.dali-speakers.com/en/products/phantom/phantom-k-60-lp/

Monitor Audio CSS230 https://www.monitoraudio.com/en/product-ranges/creator-series/css230/

Other?

What volume of backbox is needed or which backbox is compatible for these?

I'm looking for a full warm sound with clarity, ideal for atmos.

Thank you for your advice.

Hi @wackowizzard! Welcome to ASR.

I'd definitely not buy Dali, and probably not MA either.

Their regular speaker designs haven't really convinced me of their competence. See here: https://www.spinorama.org/

Instead, I'd look at KEF, Revel, or Infinity.

Monitor's regular speaker designs are archaic non-coaxials, and the speaker above seems to be attempting to do something similar to a coaxial/dual coincident speaker, which appears to be the right way of doing things.

Revel has some in ceiling speakers, but since they don't have even dispersion, it seems like they would be more strict on placement.

I'll check out more from KEF though.
