Did you ever try to average the 8 inputs of the 8A ?This is very helpful as for a while I have been considering getting an ADI2, but it would be a sideways step from my Motu 8A

Which one is original?It seemed to me that for a given DAC, it is more relevant to measure jitter and compare the results with the original DAC.
