I have a pair of POLK ES20 speakers, an RSL sub and wiim amp. I like it so far but I am itching for a surround sound experience. Can anyone recommend a good pair of speakers that will go well? I was considering WiiM Soundlite speakers due to easy setup. Any thoughts?

Looking to get surround sound

I've seen that you can get actual surround sound with additional Wiim units, but I'd check out the manuals for specifics/limitations. Outside of the Wiim speakers, not sure what else could work, tho.

What do you mean by additional Wiim units?
Multiple wiim units is what I've seen that can expand 2ch to multich (i.e. 5.1 etc)

Worth being clear on what “surround” means here: the WiiM Amp is a 2-channel streaming amp, so extra WiiM units in other rooms give you synchronized multiroom playback, not discrete 5.1 — you won’t get real surround soundtracks. The practical route is a budget AVR (used Denon or Marantz with HDMI) plus a matching Polk center; your ES20s and RSL sub carry over fine. If you want minimal boxes and are happy with stereo-plus, keep what you have — but I’d buy the AVR before adding any new speakers.
