Hey,

life circumstances change and so my preferred Audio solution.

I am looking for speakers that are suitable for my room situation. I guess it´s still nearfield. I tried the Sonos 5 and was utterly disappointed in how they mushed the music and lost all energy with my more complex tracks. No dynamics whatsoever. And that´s for 550 Euro... I once owned a pair RP600M driven by a IOTAVX SA but also had quite some room treatment (LEDE). It was maybe even too dry, but I liked it. I thought about the lsxII but they seem rather small.

Unfortunately I need the space and room treatment might be only possible under the ceiling.

I´m not sure about the optimal speaker position. I will create a cozy floor sitting area, but I will also train there. So from a practical perspective I´d love to place the speaker in the dark brown shelve but from an audio perspective that might be the worst idea. (Or is it? The back would be free, only side reflexions. Maybe I can embedd them into glasswool? (Just brainstorming here) Also the listening spot should be somewhat more flexible as from pro active studio monitors, horizontally and vertically.

So, I probably be burning money if I buy Neumanns for my specific circumstances. Or am I?

I love dynamic and fast speaker. Thats more important to me than stage or details. I like some punch, thick bass guitar, energy. Forward projecting yes but not too much. At best I´d like to stay sub 1500 Euro. (The RP600M combo was at that price point, maybe it´s still the combo for me.)

BR Sebastian

The JBL 705P would fit your needs i think, but is over budget (2500€ for a pair). You need a speaker that gives enough bass clean to satisfy your need and the smaller neumann speakers within your budget can't give you. The KH150 could also be good, but not as good as the JBL's for this but they are even more over budget. The KH120 and KH80 speakers need a sub to do that at least.

I just ordered a pair of IN8 2nd Wave with an Arc Studio Room EQ. If they are not in my taste, I´ll send them back.

And just now, I think I´ll try The Nines as well.

Placement will probably 1m or a bit more in front of the balcony door and on the right from there.

EDIT: Just saw that Klipsch is selling the version II. Maybe I can the version I for a good price.

I would seriously wade thru the electronics ads and find a used speaker system where you could grab a much nicer speaker for the money you have to spend. Given speakers can arguably be the most expensive piece of a system, finding well cared for set of classic speakers (acoustic suspension bookshelf) like AR2ax or AR3a or perhaps one of the KLH offerings will get you a speaker you can grow old with for less money than you might otherwise spend and you avoid the heavy depreciation of buying new.
