Hello,

I hope this is the right place to post this.

I have a bit of a hurdle figuring out a solution for a PC setup.

At the moment I have an external headphone amplifier + Sennheiser HD 650 connected to a PC. However, it would be nice to have the option of not wearing headphones all the time, for example when listening to news and "casual" music listening.

The hurdle is that I have very limited room left on my table which prevent my using a decent pair of studio monitors. Even smaller ones like the Genelec 8010 won't fit in. Basically, I am limited to using something like a pod with a maximum height of ~8 cm.

Is it at all possible to buy a pair that can deliver at least decent sound with these limitations?

Thanks!

here are some possible options:
  • Kanto ORA, mounted vertically
  • Kali IN-UNF, if you can fit the bass module
  • Creative Pebble Nova

Thanks for the recommendations, staticV3!

Sadly, neither of them will fit in. I am limited to something along the lines of
12 cm x 8 cm x 8 cm. From what I have read so far it’s not really gonna cut it if you want a decent listening experience.

I suppose I should just accept using headphones and swap to in-ear when it’s too hot for open headphones.

maybe get a pair of jbl bluetooth speakers and use auracast. Sumn like the charge, clip or whatever that could fit on your desk. Those are tiny and sound good enough. No bass ofc due to tiny woofers.
