You don't like this convention for track numbers in multiple CDs:With the latest box set that just came out, there are now 382 live shows. All the folders have been renamed to fall into perfect order by date. Inside the folders, all songs have been renumbered to get away from cd's (when there are multiple cd's).
That's exactly how I rename them. (Every cd rip always starts with 1 thru how every many tracks there are. So a 3 cd concert rips to 3 folders and they got renamed as you typed so that all tracks fall in proper order. Besides doing that for the official releases, we also renamed all 2100 plus unofficial shows as well.You don't like this convention for track numbers in multiple CDs:
1-01
1-02
1-03
etc. for CD 1;
2-01

Good, much better than a folder for each CD.That's exactly how I rename them. (Every cd rip always starts with 1 thru how every many tracks there are. You could do it with a script. Do you use Mac, Linux, or Windows?Further thought: Is there an easier way to rename tracks than manually?
I use Windows but I have never used a script ever.You could do it with a script. Do you use Mac, Linux, or Windows?
OK. I'll see what I can come up with.I use Windows but I have never used a script ever.
I was going to write something but just found this <https://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/> Worth a try?OK. I'll see what I can come up with.
This is supposed to be easier to use <https://www.den4b.com/products/renamer>.My friend uses that and I have it on my 3rd pc (dedicated to being a small FTP server. It's complicated for my old brain.
