Looking for a better headphone with budget of no more than $500

As much as I am concerned you could only buy a new ear cups. There's a lot of similar V shaped closed back contenders including mentioned but they are all similar build quality. I will mention Sony MDR1A M2 for better plastic (T-PE10) and they are on lighter side tho good clean for IEMs amplifier and happy with low impedances. Take a look at Denon AH-D5200 as series entry level for better build quality along with couple other advantages like easy achieving good seal not being impedance dependant. They are totally out of the box quite alright a bit warm and lower mid bass excessive, with EQ they come down to 30 Hz to target with enough headroom for individual adjustments. They are not for much moving around and stock cup's aren't on the bigger side but surprisingly aren't much warm as they are synthetic letter. They aren't for excessive very, very loud listening either but comfy mid levels. Wouldn't use them for critical mixing but they are fine from pretty much anything (including crappy stuff) as a source without EQ for listening/monitoring. They also benefit from sensitive IEM's suitable amplifier and EQ of course for more critical purposes.

Hello Forum
I am a student studying film sound production, currently in my senior year. I have been using M50x headphones before, but they are now severely worn (frequent sweating causes the leather of the earmuffs to fall off). This time I want to change to a headphone with better low-frequency and better frequency response and a budget of no more than $500. It is best if it is more durable. It seems that there are many choices but I don’t know what is suitable for me. Does anyone have any better suggestions? Thank you.

Made for Spatial Audio (film), repairable and good build quality, easily powered. Very straight FR under 2khz, optional EQ plug-in that lifts the bass and dips the mid a bit to make it straight. It’s sold out on the Ollo website in anticipation of the X1, but it’s still available on retailer stores.

Or wait for the X1, sells around 500 but Ollo offer 25% student discount.
