Curious as to which are the longest running product review threads both by age and or by replies?

Do you think it reflects on the product’s quality/value/longevity? Are the products we continue to talk about the better ones?

Some of the long ones are for the most controversial and worst measuring equipment, like some tube amps.

Hardly. Or rather, sometimes but definitely not always.

Many of the longest review threads lay dormant until someone pops in to lecture people on how this product is the best thing since sliced bread, and that the terrible measured performance is non-indicative of its magical properties. Then we get a heated discussion about audibility, placebo and personal taste, and most of it gets moved to one of the dumpster-fire threads. The review thread goes dormant again. Rinse and repeat.

They often have a string of advanced degrees, and are good enough to share their valuable time.

Topping makes a perceptually perfect line level audio appliance every month and it's incredibly boring.

Affordable or attainable products tend to bring a lot of discussion, as do traditional hifi aspirational products. The headphone discussions brought in a lot of nerdy computer type people but for the most part they've been cool.

A lot of people here have audio inferiority complexes and for some reason want to dunk on a Wilson speaker or Pass amp for some reason despite the fact that they never claimed to be anything other than what they are.
