Let this thread include recommendations for your favorite live albums. First up for me, an album from the classic rock genre, Bad Company, in concert in 2002 at 2 venues, Denver and Anaheim:

this is one of my reference recordings, she is truly enchanting throughout. for the audiophile you can really get totally immersed in this, great ambiance and sense of involvement. (well there should be lol)

Pink Floyd's final tour and home to what many consider the greatest rock guitar solo ever,
David Gilmour's performance of Comfortably Numb that closes the second set..
One of the greatest concert experiences of my life was on July 12 1994 when I attended
this concert at Soldiers Field in Chicago. "Iiiiiii have become Comfortably Numb"

If you must have a BluRay I highly recommend
David Gilmour's Remember That Night, Live At The Royal Hall.
Along with David this was one of the last performances of PF's keyboardist Richard Wright.
Included guest stars are David Crosby, Gramham Nash, David Bowie, and Robert Wyatt

Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones...live music concert videos...

Live is best with both sounds (music) and pictures (onstage).

Rock/Psychedelic/Electronica live music concerts with lights and huge onscreen videos and all type of amazing props are best experienced visually and auditory, with more senses. ...Blu-ray, DVD.

Classical orchestral music only, live, is best in person.

Live albums (LPs, CDs), Jazz...Keith Jarrett...the Koln concert. ...For example.
