Live Albums

We went to Pompeii a few years ago. An amazing place. We got there, and I said “I’m heading to the amphitheater, and THEN we can look at the other stuff.

I'm hoping to get there myself in the next year or 2..
Pompeii and Rome are my two highlights.

Now lets skip ahead something like 45 years to,
David Gilmour - Live At Pompeii 2016.
This time approx 2500 fans got a golden ticket to hear David perform some of the Pink Floyd classics along with much more from
his solo releases. This one is my favorite of the Pompeii recordings, available on Blu Ray in stunning 5.1 24/96 HiRez sound and other formats.

Billy Joel - Songs in the Attic.
It was recorded during his tour in 1980 and combines recordings from small venues as well as big stadiums.

That's one of the most underrated live LPs of all time, be one a Billy fan or not. It was such a favorite of mine when it came out. Just thought about for some reason, listened to it for the first time 40+ years. Like all good music, holds up well. It's also a bunch of songs you didn't hear on the radio. He really could belt it out live too. His voice didn't hold up well with age, but he sure had it then. Recording quality aint bad either.
