I am currently testing the Lintons and I am comparing those to my active Genelecs with a sub in a bigger room. I totally love the Lintons. But I think there is not enough distance from the walls to the speakers in the living room and my wife is totally against them sizewise. Maybe the Super Dentons (plus maybe the sub) could be an option? Did anybody compare both and could tell something about the sonic differences ? The Linton is very hyped in lots of reviews. Did not find too much about the Super Denton though. Thanks a lot

Find Erin's review with the usual set of klippel measurements, he compares them to Lintons too

Yes I watched this. From what he says I conclude that he likes the Lintons much better.

Was that for the new Super Dentons? I thought they just released a redesign.

Ok I have the Super Denton here for a test drive now. Compared to the Linton they are little more "forward". For female, vocals Jazz, acoustic music I think it sounds better than the Linton. For Rock I think the Linton sound a bit better. More lower mids but the vocals are not as clear. They share the same DNA but still are a bit different.

The Dentons have a surprisingly amount bass. BUT it sounds very boomy. With double bass in jazz pieces I have to dial the bass way back to be able to listen to them.
I have the Denton placed around 40cm from the wall. And I have to place them in a corner. I am pretty sure it's a problem with the room acoustics. Don't have the problem in a bigger room upstaris. BUT The Lintons don't have any problems in both rooms.

I don't know if it has to do with porting. So maybe the Linton has a bigger bass driver and does need as much help from the port compared to the Denton ? I am not really sure about that though. Don't have any problem with Genelec 8020 and a sub in the same smaller room.

So the Linton just work as good in my smaller room (actually better cause I don't have bass problems) which surprises me. Would have thought it would be the other way around. I just I have a big problem with the Lintons size (actually my wife does).

If I keep the Denton I would have to use Dirac to correct the room problems. There is no way around it.
