LFE in a stereo downmix

Unfortunatly I don't watch movies very often atm. Can't realy find intrest in majority what is beeing produced atm.
I tested with the latest 007, tough.

crazy. I didn't even watch a single movie after this in over 2 years.
I guess I should find me a movie for next weekend.

Grave digging this topic once again.

This has been eye opening for me. I have 2 very large stereo speakers, in which in use a minidsp SHD to x-over, but movies always missed the "oomph" so to speak.

After reading this topic I think I know what happens. The LFE is not send to my minidsp at all, or with a 10dB lower volume.

Setup:
1. Netflix app
2. LG OLED G4
3. Audio settings on TV at PCM stereo
4. MiniDSP SHD
5. AMPs
6. Speakers

So my TV is doing the downmixing right now. And while the TV has very good image, I don't trust their audio handling all that much.

My question to you guys, is there some kind of downmix device that I can use to put HDMI multichannel audio in, and a digital 2.0 PCM out (preferably optic cable)? I doesn't need an amp or a DAC, so an AVR seems extreme overkill.
