Despite having an external power supply of their design, the headroom is not sufficient to deal with loud clicks and pops:

Such noises will clip, accentuating their impact. I would like to see performance twice as good.

Amir, when you plot headroom in this way with a single line ("Decate MM Low"}, does it mean headroom was the same from 20Hz to 20kHz? The reason I'm asking is that a MM preamp will typically exhibit 60dB gain at 20Hz. In order to manage a 42mV input signal, this would require an output swing of about 119V pk-pk. Considering the difficulty of accomplishing such a large swing, and its lack of compatibility at the input of a line stage, I think I'm missing something here. Can you elaborate a little on how these plots are created?
