Lange @ Purité Audio?

@Purité Audio have you received any of the Lange speakers yet? It’s been a long time since you said you had ordered them.
The Yocto do look gorgeous, though with a price to match their looks. I’m curious about your experience with availability and how well they may work as part of a desk system. I’m in the U.S., so ordering some would be a leap of faith.

I have ordered a pair of ‘Yocto‘s’, I will use my new Boxem amplifier, create the high and low pass in Roon although the KEF and Sigberg subs have provision for crossover filters.
They look really interesting, I used to like those Eclipse single driver speakers, does anyone remember those?

Also, what do the speaker experts here make of the very lumpy high frequency response as shown in this graph (which comes from Lange’s website)? I assume it has something to do with the single-driver design, but surely aberrations of that magnitude are audible?

Sadly no Lange as yet, I am hopeful that they will have an actual product soon.

Dear Eljimador, Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding this specific loudspeaker. The frequency response you referenced reflects the natural characteristics of our single-driver design. While there is some emphasis in the high frequencies, this is not unusual even among well-known, highly regarded products discussed in this very forum; it often contributes to a sense of detail and presence that listeners appreciate in domestic settings.

YOCTO is designed to prioritize coherence, imaging, and neutrality. Its performance shines when paired with a subwoofer and high-pass filters with slopes steeper than 24 dB/octave, where it delivers exceptional results. As a small company with a young product line, we are proud of how YOCTO holds its own against much more expensive alternatives. Thank you for your thoughtful feedback, I’m happy to answer any further questions.

Best regards, Hans Lange

Thank you, Hans, for responding. For customers who might be interested in the passive YOCTO, when are they expected to be available?

Thank you for your question; The YOCTO is currently available for purchase directly through our website. For those interested, there’s also a review by a recording studio that evaluates its performance in the recommended setup—it might provide useful insights for potential users. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask here or explore the details on our website.

Hans any progress on the active Yocto?
Best,
Keith

Hi Keith, Thank you for your interest! While the active YOCTO configuration we designed—featuring 2 x Danville processors and 2 x Hypex amplifiers—was an exciting project, it has not become a standard product due to its higher cost. Instead, we now offer the DSP3960 (1 x Danville 2 IN - 4 OUT), which allows users to pair the YOCTO with their choice of amplifiers, providing more flexibility and a cost-effective solution. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions! Best regards, Hans.

They have one of the best DI's I've ever seen. Close to textbook perfect. The only downside is the price that can only be affordable by people who live in Switzerland.
