See how you get on. I find them smaller than my thieaudio oracle but similar shape. I can wear either with ease though. They will arrive on Wednesday. From the graph it almost seems like the Sennheiser philosophy for the 800Hz area and above. I have never liked the Harman tuning because I find the high gain of the fins tiring combined with very damped highs that kill the air making the IEM strident and closed (it is not always like this. I really appreciate my Rose Technics Star City 5 even if I recognize its limits). IE200 is one of my favorites (more than IE600).
Kiwi seems to have an excellent tuning for my taste but the last word has not been said. I just hope it is comfortable, since an hour ago I returned some Thieaudio for the terrible comfort (worse than the Red for my ears) and as for the shape it does not seem far away.
Kiwi is very good at tuning her IEMs, which is why I really liked the Cadenzas, even though they are similar to the Harmans, and I prefer them to the Zero and the Reds, especially at medium-low volume.
I had the Hype 2 (Amazon Italy was selling them for €170) and I was thrilled, but after a while they started causing me pain. I was sorry to return themSee how you get on. I find them smaller than my thieaudio oracle but similar shape. I can wear either with ease though.
It’s very easy to drive.I consider to buy them and don't know if buy them with Kiwi Ears Allegro mini (which is their mini USB-C dac/amp i guess). Worth to buy with that small amp? I will use audio interface with amp anyway but maybe for iphone or sth? What you think?
So Audient iD14 MKII will drive them good when it comes to power and freq response or better use amp anyway? Btw do you have experience with hp amps? I know it's not the topic about that but I'm looking for same quality as Topping DX5 II. I recentyl bought Arya Organics too and I need quality amp to drive them properly and use them to work with audio. I would buy DX5 but it has no line-level inputs and I can't connect it to my audio interface's line outputs. Thank you. It’s very easy to drive.
The only thing to keep in mind is that, since it’s a multi-driver unit, it needs an output under 2 ohm. If it has that, you’re good to go
I can’t find the output impedance data but everything else seems oversized for KE4. If you want to use the Arya, you're a bit at the limit but you shouldn't have problems driving them at medium/high levels, even though an amplifier would be ideal especially if you use the EQSo Audient iD14 MKII will drive them good when it comes to power and freq response or better use amp anyway? Thanks. I must achieve about 80-85db on them without distortion and similar artefacts and good linear level in whole freq response. That's my goal cause I'm not an audiophile. I need them for mixing/music making purpose so it's a little bit different than listening music. Doesnt 'best graphing' need to be clarified with the target it graphs well against ?
It graphs poorly against Harman . Pretty well against JM1 with the right tilt and bass
If you want something similar but maybe a bit more fun, some people also like the Moondrop Aria or Hidizs MS2 Pro in the wired space. Depends if you want analytical or a bit warmer vibes. What do you think of the Kiwi ears KE4? Best graphic iem found on Crinacle..
If you know any better wired iems, please share here.
