Kindle fire digital audio output

I'm a complete newbie. Using a denefrip ares 2 dac with a schiit asgaard 3 headphone amp to listen to mostly jazz and classical flags. 99% of my music is 44.1 k (ie cd quality). I put my music on an SD card. If I use an android tablet (kindle fire 8+) to send the music via USB to the dac, is the kindle messing with the signal and upsampling it to 96k? If so, is there any way to stop this? Does it matter?
