Plenty of people want "lifestyle" products. But at UKP20k ... that market would be exceedingly small. Traditional audiophiles (i.e. the ones with money) would shun it. The mass market can't afford it, even if they love it. It doesn't look expensive enough or have enough brand cachet for rich non-audiophiles who want Veblen goods. And the design/colour choice would limit it to a very specific kind of home decor. Better hope that those people have money.
 
There was someone a decade or so ago doing bespoke consoles awfully similar in appearance -- albeit not in McIntosh orange*.
Of course, I cannot find a reference. :(
There are a few other "lifestyle" consoles out there, though.

Yes, I reckon it's just another audio oddity I would only consider, (along with numerous others), if I ever won the lottery.

Like how the speakers are (re)movable and the fact that you can pick different colours. Probably not very good sounding I'd bet. And the price is definitely way too high.

Aye, it's a thumbs down from me too.
(Unless I win the lottery.)

I mean, if you only sold 10 and they cost you £1k each to make. £190k profit…..that’s the only way my head can rationalise a product like this.
