I seem to recall someone cut open the Amazon Basics RCA cable (so we don't have to) and didn't find it at all wanting in terms of conductor gauge or sheilding. I can't remember where it was, but hopefully some enterprising soul here will research for me and post it ;)
Took a look at the amazon basics rca offer. Actually decent cables with good plugs what they have for €8 today.

Not the real cheap stuff of yesteryears.

I would expect shielding and thickness at a bare minimum at that price point.

'Florida Nirvana'. If you don't know what I am talking about, it is an inside joke about someone from another forum. He would definitely buy these Kimber cables and then would swear up and down about the sonic improvements that only he can hear.

Yet a lot of people believe it as witnessed by the proliferation of companies making them. Our previous approach was just to say they don't make a difference. I demonstrate that with real data in extreme cases. This approach is working but much more needs to be done.

I think that's were a video review helps.

I love products like this. They cost more than my entire stereo, which is still pretty high end. Revel M106 ($1100) 2 Topping D90 Discrete amps ($1300) Revel b112 subwoofer ($1100).
You're confusing "High-End" with "accurate reproduction", a beginner's mistake.

Probably many of us, some time ago, years, decades , dreamed of having cables like these.

That's what I'm thinking. Either that or they own Kimber cables and refuse to accept the truth. :)
There's no truth, there's science that explain and demonstrate

But cablers only read audiof**l forums ..they don't read ASR, they see it as evil forum , truly

@IanRoberts was simply noting that these cables cost more than his stereo and that his stereo is not a particularly low budget system, thus making the price of the cables seem apparently even more bizarre.
I think his choice of 'which is still pretty high end' to describe a $4500+ 2.1 channel stereo is appropriate here.

Many forums actively chasing you out of you start refering to ASR. I think they get revenue from manufacturers advertising and don't want to lose it.
