As much as I want to trust objective empirical evidence, I think I'll lend my trust to subjective anecdotal reviews by youtubers with golden ears when buying my next RCA cables.

So Amazon's sells you $4,000 cables at a 99.8% discount!

What a horrible snake oil product. Not even good looking (to me).

Nothing wrong with high quality cables, thick liner, good shielding, good (metal) plugs. But it is hard to cross $100 in that regard and not be already falling for some AudioQuest like nonsense. So many solid offers for reasonable prices.

Thanks to the member loaning the cable to make this info available for everyone to find.

Hi

Interestingly, back during the early 90's , might have been 1992, Kimber came up with a set of 8-foot speaker cables, the 88 Black Pearl priced , IIRC at $15.000 .. It was not well received. Audiophiles of the time expressed shock and even (maybe) outrage ... He was ahead of his time.. He learned the lesson and now his most expensive cable is "only", around $25,000 thus representing a ... ahem... err ... ... a good deal ?? ...

Peace.

I seem to recall someone cut open the Amazon Basics RCA cable (so we don't have to) and didn't find it at all wanting in terms of conductor gauge or sheilding. I can't remember where it was, but hopefully some enterprising soul here will research for me and post it ;)

But... didn't we all already know? Cables don't get "better" with cost other than optics... and there's also the danger they perform worse than the free cables you often get with equipment. Some very expensive cables have been known to measure worse.

I admit to owning cables that are between $250 (RCA or XLR) to $800 (speakers), but they are very well built and -importantly- look good to me. :-) I don't ever expect cables to make a sonic difference...

Awesome Awesome Awesome, another H bomb of truth, yet the Wokeist, Subjectivist, Cable Cultists will still swear they can hear those chocolatey highs and fruity midrange,...THANKS AMIR!
To be fair, the serious audiophiles burn theirs in for 10,000 hours with white noise. That is probably why they didn't perform as well for Amir. If you are missing the burn in, cable lifters, and power conditioner you just won't get the proper soundstage from your shiny new silver cables. The cables might have also been plugged in the wrong direction so the electrons were having to struggle uphill and were tired by the time they got to the speakers.

If one wants audio jewelry, you can still get it under couple hundred bucks.

I have plenty of WBC cables that look the part at affordable prices.

But as someone said, this costs more than many great equipment.

I costs about the same as a Holo Audio May level 1 :D

Consider how many expensive components are in the May, and the lovely case with the copper buttons. Then look at this cable :D

There's a certain class (and I use the word generously) of audiophiles who deserve products like this: If anything, it ought to be priced higher "to separate the men from the boys". $10K is a nice round number, but require them to "qualify" themselves by first buying other products, then make 'em wait a couple of years for delivery.

For the two people that voted GREAT ,please identify yourself ! LMAO.

I don't even need to read this review to know the conclusion. ;-)

Can think of much better ways to spend that kind of money on the audio hobby.

I think it's well established that cables make no difference. In my opinion it would be better to spend time on unsolved issues like speakers and amps. My 2 cents.

I think it's well established that cables make no difference.
Yet a lot of people believe it as witnessed by the proliferation of companies making them. Our previous approach was just to say they don't make a difference. I demonstrate that with real data in extreme cases. This approach is working but much more needs to be done.
