Not contradicted, you need large drivers for bass, small drivers can't produce bass, high distortion, you need 'multiple subs 'And pay a German to make them work!
Heaven help me, speakers with a good cardioid response make perfect sense , look at that link that Ray posted.

No ones contradicted the idea the kii three plays down to 20hz at the levels claimed by the manufacturer, some might want larger capacity and even smoother response in their low frequency system Keith .. But for most the kii three is perfectly adequate in that regard and certainly a huge improvement on a passive stand mount in terms of bass response.
