What is the material of the woofer in the Neumann KH 150? I cannot figure it out because my white ones reflect all the light off my flashlight and there's no other info out there on it. I'd hope it isn't paper because then that opens it up to moisture damage which would be super bad for an otherwise durable speaker.

Like the KH80, KH120, and KH310, the KH150 likely also uses a mineral-filled polypropylene cone.

It's rated for up to 40°C, 75% RH.

It's paper:

I wouldn't use them in the bath, but they should be alright otherwise.

This is an issue I have with other speakers too, what happens if some drops of water splash onto the paper? That's exactly what could happen if you put a drink down on a table and some micro droplets got past the grille.

I'd say that water fights and super soakers, don't really mix with any electronics, not just speakers.

What are you planning? :)

These speakers are not intended for outdoors use or to be used in humid environments. And it's a bad idea to splash water on such speakers regardless of the woofer cone material. The MDF cabinet, for instance, is not any less sensitive to water damage than paper driver diaphragm.

If micro droplets got in ... I'd suggest quickly take an electric fan and blow at the speaker to dry it out quick quick ...

Where did you get that idea?
