Revels tend to sound more airy, with a 60-70 degree beamwidth vs 40-45 degrees for KEF. You get more reflections versus direct sound in the overall in-room response. This makes music sound more ethereal, notes seem to hang in the air a bit more, but individual details seem less clear for critical listening. I like Revel more for large orchestral scores and for movies, but KEF for pretty much every other genre for better clarity and more direct sound.
