A pair of R3 meta is 1800$ no?Do you mean it will go louder? Also, it's a $600 difference.

It's $2200 vs $2800. I just mean, if your motivation is identical LCR, then R2 Meta is pretty tempting.A pair of R3 meta is 1800$ no?
you can't buy the R3s individually as far as I know.It's $2200 vs $2800. I just mean, if your motivation is identical LCR, then R2 Meta is pretty tempting.
Hopefully?I still stand by my original recommendation (all Meta), in order of my preference:
R3+R6c=$4200 (preferred)
R3+R2c=$3600
3xR3+spare R3=$4400
3xR6c=$6000
3xR2c=$4200
I assume your dealer will discount 25-30%.
So how about just 3xLS50 MetaI still stand by my original recommendation (all Meta), in order of my preference:

Have you hear the KEF R3 MetaYou can do that too, but I feel that the R3>LS50 Meta. My opinion.
Agreed. Especially in a HT system. 100% R3 over the LS50.You can do that too, but I feel that the R3>LS50 Meta. My opinion.
Reading stuff like this makes me never want to bother with subs. What a nightmare.Sealed speakers have less phase change with frequency, and so are (at least in principle) easier to integrate with a sub, because the sub's phase change with frequency will definitely be different throughout the crossover region. In principle this can be fixed with DSP, but AFAIK the least expensive system that does this (or at least tries to) is Dirac Live Bass Control. Manufacturers such as Sigberg and Arendal agree with this general principle; Arendal tells you to plug the ports on their main speakers if you're using a sub. However, a plugged port is likely less than optimal compared to a design that is intended to be used only sealed.
This is why I'm intrigued by the idea of using the R6 for L-R speakers in a 2.x set-up. (For me currently, x=1.)
How much does any of this matter in the real world? Likely not very much, as subjectively excellent results are often obtained with ported main speakers crossed over to subs.

Absolutely 3 KEF R6.Primarily used for home cinéma!
3 KEF R6 Meta as LCR
or
3 KEF R3 Meta as LCR
Let’s see how they measure?Absolutely 3 KEF R6.
Reason : The THX norm for cinema is closed box LCR , and the 3 front channels must be identical , and placed in the same direction.
Yes two subsThe R6C has the 2nd woofer, while the R3C has the port. Slight pros and cons to each approach. As sweetchaos wrote, probably need to see measurements for both to really know.
Will subwoofers be used with them?

All the front speakers will be placed 4 feet from the front wall!Just guessing... but is the kef centre speaker (like most other center speakers) designed to be placed closer to front wall along with the tv? Perhaps a center speaker up against a wall can achieve the same frequency response as a floorstanding and bookshelf speaker that is placed 3 feet from the wall?
Why is that? Look at Genelec The Ones they are not sealed!With the way we do bass management changing dramatically with Active room treatment (DIRAC) and the equivalent technology being developed by Trinnov I feel like I would always aim for sealed speakers from now on.
Honestly I would aim for sealed almost all the time for a bass managed setup.
Good luck finding a dealer that will discount 30%!I still stand by my original recommendation (all Meta), in order of my preference:
