Current exchange rates are irrelevant. The R8 have not increased by 65% as you stated.Again IS is benefiting from current £ to $.
In UK it was 850 now is 1400
R2C is narrow and tall but there is magic thing called blue tack that sticks stuff like glue with a difference you can take it off later and leaves no traces, besides it would be going into space where there are no people walking nearby.
Debating this, benefit being its narrow and twitter would be at ear level plus not needing to sell R2C, or getting current R3 - have got some character stands if flipped upside down twitter ear level as well and it would be 100-200 cheaper. Seems R3 has got lower distortion.
Please hurry up so there is something else to talk about but prices. There will be a white paper released soon, including spinorama data. The engineering team are still finishing it off.
Again in UK yes R8a did increase 65% - don’t know what you’re trying to achieve arguing simple fact. You don’t need to be obnoxious, you don’t fancy replying to add some value to discussion then don’t. You basically avoided replying to simple question trying instead to poke holes.Current exchange rates are irrelevant. The R8 have not increased by 65% as you stated.
I am aware of blue tack. Seems to me you know it all so why pose questions. Just to argue?
Oh, and it’s “tweeter” NOT “twitter”.
Nice ! Curious people like me are very interestedThere will be a white paper released soon, including spinorama data. The engineering team are still finishing it off.
It is cheaper! There is the possibility that some people might not think box shaped speakers ugly. I mean it's a far fetched hypothesis, but there must be some excuse for why so many companies continue to produce box shaped speakers even though many enlightened internet commentators try to help them get rid of this habit.
Thank you, it is always very nice to seeing the chief engineer for a company be on this thread! There will be a white paper released soon, including spinorama data. The engineering team are still finishing it off.

That's great to know - appreciate your engagement with this thread (and apologies if anything was inadvertently released ahead of schedule). Like a few on here, have been debating whether to take a deal on the old R series or go for the Meta but with little to inform that decision beyond health of bank balance so far. However, my wife has now fallen for the looks of the R7 titanium SE, so the decision may well be made for me!There will be a white paper released soon, including spinorama data. There may be differences beyond the meta material & driver&waveguide tweaks. After reading this thread i wonder; Will i be able to hear a difference between the old r3's and the meta's listening on low to mid volume 56 years old.
They are $1600 to $1700 everywhere else, so I would say that is a good deal.Went to Best Buy today and sale rep offer me a pair of open box R3 for $1250. They say they are trying to get rid of the R3 in anticipation of the Meta. Just wondering if this a good deal. Anyone else having any luck finding great deal on R3?
Yes, as long as the condition is great and the R3 is what you want then that deal is solid IMO.Went to Best Buy today and sale rep offer me a pair of open box R3 for $1250.
