KEF Q Concerto Meta vs ASCILAB C6B

I recall reading a few times and ime treble distortion is more or even a lot more unpleasant than in the lower frequencies

OTOH, Amir and Erin measure distortion with white spectrum test tones which overestimate treble amplitude and corresponding THD in-situ.
The Kef Concerto Meta are avaible for 1000€ a pair, sometimes even less (down to 800€ on special occasions), while the C6B has a fixed price of 1299€ and is only available in one online store. There is no way to listen to that speaker before buying and there are problems with availability.
Both perform very well, you already can find some information in this thread. I would go for the Kefs that you can test and listen at almost every Hifi store. And comparing to the R3 is possible too. The Kef are three way, the C6B is a two way speaker.
Any particular reason?....

The KEF can play louder, cleaner bass than the C6B and has no potentially problematic floor/ceiling bounce response issues.
In most other aspects the two perform shockingly similar.

They look to be something of a bargain and at a great price. Better than I was expecting.

I am keen to build a home theater system on the next 6 to 8 months. Unfortunately, thanks to the sheriffs of tariffs, Ascilab will no longer be an option.
I will be building the home theater on all KEF Q series, just need to figure out which in ceiling KEF I will get.
Doesn't help with almost non existent stock and lack of center channel and in-ceiling offerings.

The Kefs certainly look more than up to the job of providing a serious base for an impressive HT.
I suspect the ceiling speaker issue may take care of itself closer to the time.
If Kef US is anything like Kef in the UK and the rest of Europe you may well find, at just about any given time, a genuine bargain price on on at least one version of the ceiling speakers.
It tends to change and chop about, and rarely (though sometimes) as more than one model at a time, but it will likely pay you to keep an eye on them and be ready with the cash.

I was considering the Ascend Acoustics CBM-170SE2, it's under $500 a pair with excellent measurements. But I decided against it, because like most Ascend speakers, their vertical dispersion isn't so good and the aesthetics is subpar.
I may even explore the used market to see if I can find good deals first for these KEFs.
