Kef LS60 wireless review by ErinsAudioCorner

I could ask but it isn’t a topic worth worrying about as digital is done and the vast majority of dacs are audibly transparent.

Does anyone here own these in white?

If so, are they reflective and distracting? I'm considering them but, stood either side of my TV, especially when the curtains are drawn and the lights are down, concerned I may just be too conscious they are there in the corner of my eye especially with the exposed silver cones sparkling!

I have the blue ones but the finish is more matte than gloss. They are only a hair shinier than your average textured injection molded piece.

I have the white ones and as already mentioned the color is quite matte. I have them on the side of the TV and never found them distracting. Note, I have a fine mesh fabric covering the speaker so the cones is not as visible but I would believe it would be fine anyways.

Not sure if the picture helps but the TV furniture to the right have glossy finish on the doors

Well, I just did something I've not done for a very long time. I went into town to a "hifi shop" (Richer Sounds in the UK) .

They didn't have the LS60 but they did have the LS50 in white and grey.

The whites were much starker white than I imagined. Probably too bright for my taste.

I did like the grey...didn't burn my retinas so much. However, they were the same finish/reflectivity as the white LS60, not smooth semi gloss.

Given @AOR (who works for KEF!) said they were semi gloss, I assume the LS60 must have a different finish?

The black ls50 meta I own are satin. No reflections or finger prints.

I have the black ones, also matte paint, look good and draw little attention.

Discuss!
how can we compare these distortion graphs to the format amirm publishes distortion.

how can we compare these distortion graphs to the format amirm publishes distortion.
Use https://automeris.io/ or https://usyless.uk/trace/ to convert the graph into raw .csv data.

Import into Room EQ Wizard, Excel, or Google Sheets to convert from dB relative to dB absolute, % to dB, etc, then load into Room EQ Wizard, Excel, or Google Sheets to create a comparison graph.

Yes, I think black (carbon?) is my first choice. Alas, the full retail price of a new pair is beyond me; I have been keeping an eye on the KEF refurbished store (UK) and they only have white. They had black last week and I dithered and missed out...I could kick myself now.

I may be selling my LS60- black like new all packaging- pm me if anyone interested UK based , cheers

Does anyone have any tips on getting the speakers to connect wirelessly?

I've had to switch mine off a couple of times over the last few days while installing my new kit and every time, they lose the connection. The last couple of times I've just kept clicking buttons until they connect, but I'm no longer having any joy.

Instructions online are contradictory to say the least in terms of which button to press first, if at all, and for how long!

Does anyone have any suggestions? (Really would rather avoid having to run a wire). BTW my room is flooded with wifi if that matters.

I always use the wire, just works.

Sorry for the late response..
Just went our looking for a fabric that passed through air as good as possible and was wide enough to be able to cover most part of the speaker when cut and sewed together. Then left it to the missus.. to create pieces with the sewing machine that could be put on like a sock. They are tight enough to sit upright when on..
I meassured before and after and did not see any real effect on the sound.
