There’s a Belgian(?) video unboxing and review on YouTube that’s gone live. No spec sheet and I don’t understand whatever language it is. Any members able to glean any information from it?
Link?

Ooo. Sounds interesting, can't find it though. Has it been taken down?

Not really, as you can see at 20 Hz they have dropped already more than 40 dB at those ASR Klippel NFS measurements, mind you thank you to this EQ and room gain with close boundaries they get down linearly to approximately 40 Hz at my listening position which is quite good for their size and sufficient for most of the music I listen to:

I have the same audible bump at 47Hz.

The dimensions of the LS50 are 30cm x 20cm x 28cm (rounding), which is 16.8L. The LS50's LF is not great. It's not ridiculously bad, but it's also not as good as you can get from a good 5" driver with no hole cut in it. The Genelec 8030C for example has much better distortion and better extension while being significantly smaller(10L).

This is, again, not news. All 2-way coaxials tend to be more limited than standard designs due to the compromises necessary to make a coaxial driver. That's why 3-ways are particularly valuable. They free the woofer from the constraints of having to fit in place and act as wave guide for the tweeter.

LS50 Meta 96dB, 8030C 96dB.

Oh, man... That's an active speaker with a bigger surface of the woofer. You're sure putting some effort into your critique. Is there an apples to apples speaker that is much better in LF and how many of those can you find? Are there 3 all together? I hope you see what I'm getting at, I didn't say LS50 plays LF like a big tower, I'm talking about its own category.

Another thing (I disassembled mine):

You see, outer dimensions are not the ones responsible for LF. I bet with these thick walls and bracing you wouldn't find that much of a difference between inner volume of the two mentioned considering these thin walls of Genelec:

But you would still have more woofer surface and active XO.

Ah, he IS mentioning the kc62! Interesting. And he is also comparing it to the Blade.

Well main points you can get from YouTube translate.

700W per speaker. 100W each for tweeter and mid-range and 500w for the woofers. For reference, the LS50 wireless II is 380W. Each speaker also has a subwoofer out so it’s unlikely that these are using the 4 side firing drivers as subwoofers as per the KC62.

Wow really thin (13.5cm wide?) compared to LS50s shown behind. Looks nice in white.

I believe he mentioned 500W class D powering the 4 woofers, 100W class D for the UNI-Q mid and 100W class AB for the UNI-Q tweet so 700W/speaker.

@sifi36 beat me to it

It will be interesting to see what permeates to future products. With a passive set, it would be feasible to build a multichannel system with them.
