KEF LS60 Wireless Just Announced

Might be more a case of "not invented here" syndrome.
I doubt that of their engineers, they have embraced all the other science, why not the NFS? Plus one of their ex engineers bought one.

I'd be interested in how the accuracy compares, my guess is the kef solution is less accurate at low frequencies, but more accurate at higher frequencies. Plus this looks much faster, which may well be the killer feature for R&D.

I find it difficult to believe that KEF would have any issue with purchasing an NFS. That would be a pretty minor outlay for them, seems like. Might be more a case of "not invented here" syndrome.
One of the most compelling reasons to use a NFS is that you don't need an anechoic chamber. KEF already has an anechoic chamber, so they may see no compelling reason to get a NFS. Their solution looks pretty good to me.

Exactly, also in this case a complete spherical measurement set is significantly quicker obtained than with a NFS.

Wonder how much to replace the

i wonder if the smaller LFX use the same system. Maybe buy a pair and test. If you don’t “like” them have a place with good return policy.
We sell them at work and haven't had any complaints. That doesn't mean there aren't any problems they might have solved them themselves.

However, I did have the LSX ii in my home for a period of time. Occasionally, mine did have problems. Typically, the secondary speaker would stop playing. It was physically connected to the primary speaker and the primary speaker was wired to the network. It didn't happen all the time but it was a pain when it did happen. Sometimes I had to reset up the system, other times it could be solved by cutting the power and letting it boot back up. I replaced it. Maybe it was just mine but I haven't heard of any problems from any customers with it. Maybe there was an update and it's been corrected. YMMV.
