This is my first post in this fantastic community! I have learned (and bought) a lot! Big shout-out to Amirm and Erin for the reviews!

I have an opportunity to buy some very cheap (300$ each) Genelec 4040A monitors (basically a 8040A with phoenix connector) in good shape. I have already bought 4030B (8030) for my retro gaming setup and I love them! (aluminum shell is a great electromagnetic shield so I can put them right next to me 20 inch PVM CRT monitor).
Currently I have in my rather small (15 m2) living room: Denon AVR-X4100, KEF LS50 in LCR configuration (R and L powered with aiyima a07), KEF Eggs surrounds from E305 kit, ATMOS setup with four SVS Prime Elevation and two SVS Subwoofers: PB-1000 and PB-1000 PRO. The listening position is approx 1.8 m away from 65 inch OLED. Usually I listen/watch at low volumes at night (kids!) so definitely I don't need more power. I was thinking about replacing LCR with 4040A to get better listening experience at low volumes. Do you think that three 4040A for about 1000$ could bring some improvement? I know that theses are quite old with just AB amp.
I will be using Audyssey XT-32 from X4100 to equalize the room and UMIK-1 to correct the SVS PB-1000 PRO build-in DSP.
I hope for some good feedback!

Yeah :) I dropped the idea about 4040 - too big for my needs, instead bought a third 4030b for central speaker (150$) and a pair of 4010 for my PVM (140$). Incredible deals!

Where are you buying them from?

I think there might be more of them coming, as some installations might become obsolete. People bought them for commercial use, and you know how it is with enterprises:)
But I agree - great deals.

They sound surprisingly good for their size. I wonder how would they compete against my kappa 9.2i if complemented with a genelec sub. They are also on allegro for 800$...
