Hi I am new to this forum from Reddit and have technical questions.

I'm connecting KEF coda w to Alienware AW3225QF (32 4k curved oled) through hdmi earc port on the monitor, no sound coming out. This speaker can be used through hdmi earc on tv and bluetooth on my phone. The monitor can send audio through hdmi earc to my KEF ls50 wl2 but not this one. Does anybody use other dell/alienware monitor and coda w the way I do?

I also tried hdmi cable named audioquest pearl 48 and it is not working.

You should check that you are outputting stereo pcm and not multichannel audio through GPU

Curious, why use HDMI ARC instead of going USB-C from your laptop?

This is bcz I have both laptop and pc... Output audio from monitor is the best integration, and somehow all alienware monitors didnt have 3.5 mm output like others. I noticed this but never realize it could be a problem...

Sorry but I'm just trying to come to grips with your setup here. The monitor has two HDMI ports. So with one reserved for trying to do HDMI ARC to the speakers, are you sharing a single cable between the laptop and PC or does the PC use Displayport?

In any case, you say it works fine with the KEF LS50. The only difference between that and the Coda is that the LS50 supports full eARC, whereas the Coda only supports ARC from what I can tell. For stereo that should be irrelevant, you should be doing stereo PCM regardless. But my best guess is that something is amiss in the settings that is attempting to send a signal that ARC does not support but eARC does (lossless Dolby formats).

Note that in some cases ARC can be extremely annoying and unreliable for no apparent fault of the user. There's some really onerous procedures out there to get ARC devices to forget each other.

Yes my laptop is connecting to monitor through HDMI. My PC is through DP, and my speaker through HDMI port labeled earc on the monitor.

This is reasonable. Something must be special for arc compared to earc. I hope this will fix the issue. I will try in a few days. Thank you so much!

Sorry I didnt get what you mean. But I agree earc is a more advanced connection.
