KEF Ci250RRM

What amplifier are using for these? I'm using a Hypex NC252MP based amp; I'm curious if I should jump to the NC502MP or if the 252 is sufficient...
I assume it's fine to use the 252. I'm using my trusty Denon AVR-X8500H for the Atmos. Eventually, I might get a new receiver or processor in the main system, but this works fine for now. The two in the dinet area are driven by a Crown XLS 1002 connected to an old TV. That system will eventually get a new TV and source.

Thanks. I think you're right, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around these class D amps regarding specs.

In Amir's tests of the Buckeye NC252MP amp, the power was 119 watts into 8R & 247 watts into 4R. I take the spec sheet ratings on most of the class D amps with a grain of salt since they are sometimes peak power or without clear information about conditions (distortion, frequency, etc.). I figure the NC252MP is probably similar to a good receiver which is sufficient for most applications unless the room is super big or you listen very loud. I think for surround channels, you probably don't need more power.

They're probably a bit above the receiver level since usually the more channels you use in a receiver, the output drops. Still thinking about the 502s which basically will double the wattage at 8Ohms. But yes, 119 watts for Atmos usage should be more than enough. Maybe I'm overthinking it.
