KEF Blade Two Meta Review

5. Stereo Bass, sure does the recording even offer it? No vinyl does and most digital does not.
You need to read the thread I posted about bass, lots and lots of examples, vinyl as well with sources and everything.
About the rest too, lots of research, recent too.

Nope. There is no video display in my system so another Blade 2 Meta as center was an easy choice.
You use a center channel, but you're not watching video?

Anyone?

Low impedance ~3.2Ohm, is it true?
KEF didn't lie (at least for the impedance).

Maybe KEF and Genelec could organise a double-blind test? 'State of the art vs state of the art.
They might as well. Big guns usually fire bigger shots. But then some say is not the size but the nuance .

I am kind of conflicted in that department. Firing pretty big guns and apparently with some nuance. So not really sure which one wins o_O.

It that is true, that's very confusing and unfair to the readers to render a graph like that. There is no indication of the initial value of vertical scale and if you follow the vertical numbers, you would logically assume it starts at 2. Which is exactly what I did and thought that dip was too low (something like 2.3ohm).

Why did you do that?

Your ‘3’ should be 2 ticks below the 4 ohm mark, and the axis intersection actually scales to 2.4 ohms.

Which means the low point on the plot scales to 2.7 ohms at approx 36 Hz.

Which, I assume, is why @Heinrich questioned the 3.2 ohms claimed minimum .

Cheers

I looked at Erin's impedance/EPDR graph and assumed. However, now I see applied voltage is not the same on both graphs. I'll edit my previous post.

Thanks

Edit: As pointed out by @Newman this is wrong. Sorry for the confusion.
I missread the graph myself. The impedance is a bit low with ~2.7Ohm, but that shouldn't be a prob/ with class-D amps.

Btw. The EPDR (?) as calculated isn't the more "real" impedance. With class-D for instance it isn't even defined ...

Do the they lack bass?

See for yourself.

And FWIW all speakers can potentially lack bass if it's used by a moron subjective reviewer who does not take measurements, and therefore does not realize that it's his room sucking out all the bass.
