I wouldn't be surprised to find nonsense such as this in other fields too, although I can't think of one off the top of my head. I really hate the audio scene sometimes.I'm having trouble thinking of any other industry in which claims like this go utterly unchallenged by any consumer regulatory agency. I mean, these aren't opinions they're expressing; there are specific (though nonsensical) physical and engineering assertions involved here. Anyone can say a block of maple just "sounds sweeter", cuz that's subjective; but specific claims like "signficantly reduce distortions" should be easy to expose as fraud, if someone were inclined to waste the time.
