I'm having trouble thinking of any other industry in which claims like this go utterly unchallenged by any consumer regulatory agency. I mean, these aren't opinions they're expressing; there are specific (though nonsensical) physical and engineering assertions involved here. Anyone can say a block of maple just "sounds sweeter", cuz that's subjective; but specific claims like "signficantly reduce distortions" should be easy to expose as fraud, if someone were inclined to waste the time.
I wouldn't be surprised to find nonsense such as this in other fields too, although I can't think of one off the top of my head. I really hate the audio scene sometimes.

Those are the cheap ones. This is the professional elite power cable.
Weight 155lbs call for pricing.

There are those like us at High Fidelity Cables who absolutely have to have this cutting-edge breakthrough. It not only helps us to clearly prove that Magnets Make Music it determines that there is no end to that statement. MORE MAGNETS – MAKE MORE MUSIC.

All pro elite is custom built to order. if you’re interested in this product please contact us at High Fidelity Cables and we will put you in touch with the owner Rick Schultz who will personally help you on this journey.

Try the entire "wellness" industry. It's why they're not the "health" industry any more, because the FDA started checking their claims.

Edit: I see @mansr is on the same page as me.

Yeah....I am not tempted in the least to connect with owner Rick Shultz so he can personally help me on this journey.
Rick Schultz? I remember him from Tower Records,1985.

This looks like something William S. Burroughs could really get into:

Aside from ignoring various laws of physics, Maxwell's equations, and all that jazz, if all they are are "magnetically conductive" wires doesn't that mean they used steel instead of copper wires? Or are the magnets in the bug tubes around the (non-magnetic copper) wires?

I assume they ignore moving currents automatically generate an EM field...

I did not follow the links, afraid they might magnetize my screen, or brain...

These guys have been around for a few years. Their audio show demos are remarkably reminiscent of the stereotypical 19th century medicine show. When I chatted with the company principal, he made a point of emphasizing several times that his investors were litigation attorneys.

After I left their exhibit room, I wanted to take a shower.

Sorry... lost me at the point that it still connects using... cables. Show me improved (or at least identical) performance using nothing but magnets in the signal path, and you've definitely got me interested. At least interested enough to read a whitepaper to figure out how the hell you pulled it off.

Of course, even if you've made the magnets out of angel wings and pixie dust... I won't be paying five figures for anything of the sort.

quantum entangled particles?
That would be more interesting than simply sleeving a cable with magnets to say the least... ;)

Rather like the explanations of how certain "beauty products" worked were changed when someone pointed out that anything working that way would require FDA approval.

Ignoring the ridiculousness of the entire magnet concept, cables are supposed to connect components, no? This "cable" seems to be a major pain in the ass to actually use as a cable with that gigantic heavy metal rod in the middle.

HighFidelityCables.com's No Refunds policy (under Guarentee) is at least as innovative and game-changing as their technology.

"Not offering a refund .......lowers retail pricing by 20-25%..... (Refunds) are never free as retail cannot work like that any loss has to be paid for by someone buying a product. The risk is simply spread across the client base though pricing and disrupts the value proposition. I did not feel that was fair considering our products performance level as it is extremely high for audio and the highest in audio cabling."

So one can feel confident that a High Fidelity magnets purchase is an undisrupted value that is free from the socialist taint inherent in buying from vendors who offer return refunds.
Oooie, that smells deep.
