Not within 0.2dB matching (could be +/- 0.5dB off) and he removes the phone between measurements.
and when his father switches he actually switches so no blind test just realizing switch = actual switch is enough.
Joshua asking his father to 'switch' results in a switch so he knows what is top and bottom.

What should have been done:
Electrical measurement with 1% accuracy (under load)
Joshua could have his father to switch but...
Should have been at least 10 (preferably 20) switches but there should have been some 'pulling and re-inserting in the same amp' now and then as well.

Be careful there, you might just well bankrupt him.

That "blind test" is of no value just like fully subjective reviews (that is, reviews lacking measurements).
Adventure tales by self-acclaimed experts (without any measurements supporting their claims) are so common in hi-fi.
