Hi,

I just wanted to get insights from the group. How would staking 2x JL audio F113 on top of each other compare in performance vs. using JL audio G213 subwoofer. They are less than half the cost that way. The only key difference I see between the two is the cabinet design. MDF on F113 and Fiberglass G213...so just wondering how much of a difference that will make in audio quality.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think in most cases, just having two F113s are more than good enough and they should be placed normally for the best response.

I have a pair of gothams in the front and a F113 in the back of my room. The F113 used to be in my man cave and it used to bring the house down by itself in the smaller space. The F112 is now in my man cave and it’s not as capable. Doing the buy once cry once made sense for me at the time but honestly, if I had a pair of F113s, it would have been more than good enough for me. But it’s nice that I don’t ever need to upgrade my subs. Not even the Perlisten 8is.
