Anyone with experience with the Jeff Bagby designed Helix TM Speaker Kit, it is being sold by Cinergy Audio

Haven't found a lot of info about it, looks decent to my amateur builder eyes

I haven't heard this one and it's been out for a while. He created this and some other designs for DIY Sound Group (which is now Cinergy) years ago. I've never heard a bad Bagby speaker and that woofer was very popular when it was developed.

I built one and am listening to it and it sounds phenomenal. It has plenty of bass and high end detail. It is currently my favorite speaker to listen to. I have another kit I will be building and finishing soon.

I have this. Unfortunately, i didnt take a pic of just the crossover, but will on the next one. Note that it comes with an iron core inductor for the woofer (lower notes), but I replaced it with an air core inductor.

would you mind sharing the part# of the air core inductor you used, mu other question was on the two resistors and which one goes in which spot, I was told the instructions arent clear and it not printed on the board
thanks in advance:)

p.s. is that 1" Sonic Barrier from Parts Express, I love that stuff

Not sure the part number on the inductor, but it was of same value. I found the instructions very easy and the circuit board it comes with helped a lot, but i have experience with electronics and audio. I will have the finished pair for sale today, but not sure the rules here for advertising one's business. Cinergy is very easy to work with and helpful. Email them with questions as well. They have been a great partner for me.
